About NYC Privacy Board Advocates

We advocate for the inclusion in the New York City Charter, provisions to create a "Privacy Guidelines Board." The purpose of this entity would be to discuss the implications of technological advancement on the city's constituents and make suggestions to the city council and city agencies on matters of privacy as it relates to legislation and policy.

Our vision of the "Privacy Guidelines Board" would meet criteria such that it's members would include individuals who are versed in privacy issues; represent the public as well as NYC agencies such as the NYPL, NYPD, DA Office, FDNY, DOE, DOH, DOB; and be inclusive to all city boroughs.

If you have concerns about privacy, join us for meetings and events. Everyone is welcome. Email us to be added to the email list, join our meetup or connect on social media.
